Manage projects better with Basecamp.

For years project management software was about charts, graphs, and stats. And you know what? It didn't work. Pictures and numbers don't get projects done. Basecamp tackles project management from an entirely different angle: A focus on communication and collaboration. Basecamp brings people together.

How the integration works?

It is a real haul to enter same identical entries such as client information, project name, projects task(s), etc. in multiple web based applications. In fact the whole exercise of manually adding identical records at various business applications is redundant and superfluous.

The integration with Basecamp would allow you to quickly import clients, projects and staff from your Basecamp account and instantly create an invoice for the respective client and project. Everything right from importing details and sending invoice can be carried out using a single account. So, all you are required to do is import the data to your Invoicera account and use Invoicera's time tracking capabilities to generate invoices from it for your respective clients & projects.

How to get started?

Click on the Get Started button above to signup for a Basecamp account. There's a free plan for you to try it out! Once you've setup your account, you can activate the integration by taking the following steps:

  1. Login to your Invoicera account
  2. Go to Settings -> Basecamp
  3. Enter your Basecamp account URL and API Token
  4. Start Importing your clients, staff and projects
Where to find API information in Basecamp?

You must enable the Basecamp API (before you can access your Basecamp account using Invoicera) by following these steps:

  1. Log in to your Basecamp account.
  2. From your dashboard select your "Account" page.
  3. Scroll down to "Basecamp API" and follow the steps to enable your account.
  4. Obtain your API Token by clicking "My info" (top-right).
How to create invoices from Invoicera for Basecamp projects?

Once you have imported your Basecamp projects, clients and staff to your Invoicera account you would be able to track time normally. Go to time tracking tab and click on manage projects section. Here you would be required to assign staff (if any) to respective projects and, thereafter, you can start to log project work time for projects either using the start/stop timer or directly.
